Adaro’s history begins with the global oil shocks of the 1970s. They caused the Indonesian Government to revise its energy policy, until then focused on oil and gas, to include coal as a fuel for domestic use.
With this increased focus on coal, in 1976 the Mines Department divided East and South Kalimantan into eight coal blocks and invited tenders for these blocks.
Spanish Government company Enadimsa bid for Block 8 in the Tanjung district of South Kalimantan, as coal was known to be present in the district from outcrops mapped by Dutch geologists in the 1930s and from intersections at depth in oil wells drilled by Pertamina in the 1960s.
No other company bid for this block; at that time it was regarded as being too far inland and the coal of low quality.

Payroll Officer
Execute end-to-end payroll operations for employee’s compensation & benefit according to company’s policy to ensure employee’s benefit fulfilled properly in timely manner.
Requirements :
- Bachelor of Engineering / Management / Accounting with min GPA 3.00
- Minimum 2 years of experiences as Payroll Staff or similar position in Payroll Operations
- Mandarin Speaking ability in a must
- Strong capabilities in Remuneration Management, Office Administration, and Tax Regulation
- Having experience in liaise with BPJS, Banks / Financial Institution & Regional Tax Office
- Able to work independently and in a team
Cost Control Engineer
Job Description :
- Perform a variety of cost engineering functions, including cost control, budget preparations, forecasting, and cost reporting
- Provide cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting
- Producing regular cost reports and advising management of any forecast cost overruns as soon as possible
- Coordinate development and implementation of project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)/Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)
- Report earned value per vendor and identify trends that impact the final cost projections
Requirements :
- Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1) graduate majoring in Finance or Engineering with specialization in Project Management, Planning or Cost Control related training
- Have minimum 5 years relevant and similar capacity in cost controlling, preferably in Industrial Plant
- Have good communication and interpersonal skill
- Have good analytical skill
- Willing to be on contractual basis during the project
- Willing to be located at Bulungan, North Kalimantan
Warehouse Section Head
Manage and oversee end-to-end inventory activity of the warehouse including receiving, handling, storing, picking & distribution, and to build effective and efficient warehouse system in order to ensure optimum support to construction activities.
Requirements :
- Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1) graduate majoring in Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 3 years experiences (Supervisor level) in the area of Inventory Management preferably in construction projects.
- Have good competencies on system analysis.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Willing to be hired on contractual basis during the project.
- Willing to be located at North Kalimantan Site (roster based).
CFPP Construction Team
Responsible for monitoring and controlling both performance and progress on the construction of the plant civil/mechanical/electrical & instruments works in order to ensure the Coal Fired Power Plant construction is done according to appreciate specifications, design, schedule and safety requirements.
Requirements :
- Minimum Diploma Degree (D3) graduate majoring in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Have minimum 3 years experience in area of mechanical or electrical & instrument area of construction preferably in power plant projects.
- Have good competencies on construction methods and system analysis.
- Willing to be hired on contractual basis during the project.
- Willing to be located in Bulungan, North Kalimantan site (roster based).
